Why do Utilities Choose Tait?

Tait has a long history of working with Utilities – both large and small – all over the world. Daniel Draughn, Director Market Development – Critical Industries, discusses what it takes to help customers find the best-fit solution for their needs.

50 years ago with 12 employees, Sir Angus Tait formed in New Zealand what is now Tait Communications. Tait critical communications solutions are manufactured in New Zealand and provided to our global customers in over 160 countries.

The world of Land Mobile Radio has transformed over the past five decades and Tait continues to not only be a thought leader but an industry leader known for embracing change. This past week in Houston on August 20th, 2019, Alan Gutsell celebrated 40 years with Tait Communications. Alan has had a front row seat to witness the advancements made in the Land Mobile Radio Industry from costly proprietary LMR systems to cost-effective open standards based critical communications systems.

In this advanced age of technology where most of the world is connected, mission critical organizations depend on advanced critical communications products and services.  With over forty years in the LMR industry I am now proud to be a part of the Tait team of professionals who are passionate about meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations.

As part of that team I now have a front row seat to see the commitment to our customers and the employee leadership culture. That leadership culture is and will continue to be the engine to drive Tait into the future. I believe Sir Angus Tait would be pleased and also amazed to see the suite of products offered today and the creative solutions being developed to address tomorrow’s challenges.
