Critical Communications World 2018: Recap

“CCW 2018 was really a great trade show for Tait!” Reports Margit Paul-Kientzl, Tait Marketing Communications Executive. Critical Communications World 2018 brought attendees from far and wide to the Messe Berlin ExpoCenter City, Berlin, from the 15th to 17th of May.

“We made good quality contacts, had some great customer meetings, and a great quality booth with the Tait-branded Mini Cooper at the center of attention.” The Tait booth highlighted Tait Unify solutions, like UnifyVoice, a Push to Talk over Cellular (PTToC) application, enabling integration between cellular and radio networks. Also on display – integrated into the Mini Cooper – was UnifyVehicle, a mobile connectivity and custom computing platform.

The overall message spread at CCW was that in the near future, we will be seeing a growing demand for mission-critical-communications integrating broadband solutions, and suppliers must be ready to deliver the highest level of reliability, coverage, flexibility and functionality. “This is exactly what Tait is striving to deliver,” says Tait CEO Garry Diack and fortunately, it coincides with the reasons why customers are choosing Tait.

Tait CEO Garry Diack chats with Gert Jan Wolf, popular critical communications industry personality.

Garry Diack spoke with Urgent Communications on the future of Tait in a rapidly changing critical communications environment. “The new opportunities that we see coming at us across multiple market segments—public safety, utilities, mining, oil and gas, and transport particularly—it’s like they’re all going to come of age at once sometime in this next 5-8 year period, as people invest in platforms that can be upgraded into an LTE-type environment.” In reference to the Tait Unify range of solutions. “Our view is that we should be embracing LTE, as opposed to seeing it as something separate,” he said.
