It was a busy, engaging few days for Tait at Comms Connect in Melbourne from November 22-23rd. The Tait team was full speed ahead with a steady stream of visitors eager to see and hear about our exciting solutions on show.
A highlight was the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) ultra-light tanker on display. Tait partnered with DELWP to install Tait UnifyVehicle, and the live demos proved a popular display with high interaction. UnifyVehicle drew so much interest that often there were queues waiting to see the capabilities and benefits offered by the multi-bearer platform. On the Tait booth, the demo focused on the Tait AppBuilder, which allows users to create custom applications to run on UnifyVehicle, ensuring that the solution runs exactly the way the user needs it to.
Also on display at the Tait booth was the new Omnitronics RediTALK-Flex Lite dispatch application, developed in conjunction with our valued technology partner Omnitronics. The solution is packed full of features that enable both routine and mission critical operations to be conducted in a highly reliable and efficient manner.
Nick Rayner, Product Manager of the Tait Unify Portfolio, delivered a well-received presentation on Unifying Critical Communications on Day 1 of the exhibition. During the workshops the day prior, Regional Services Delivery Director from Tait Asia Pacific, Matthew Horwood, presented a case study on Fire & Rescue New South Wales (FRNSW), which generated a good deal of interest from attendees.
Alan Bull, General Manager of Sales and Business Development at Tait, saw great value in sharing our new innovations – particularly UnifyVehicle and AppBuilder – saying,
“What was exciting was the different level of discussions this solution provoked, centric to business benefits and outcomes rather than technology alone. UnifyVehicle is a game-changer for Tait, our channel and our market segments supporting our evolution to Unified Critical Communications.”
Celebrations were had at the event’s Australian Radio Communications Industry Association (ARCIA) National Dinner when Tait Northern Regional Channel Manager Con Costi won the Peter Wallace Industry Professional of the Year Award. The award is named in memory of an industry figure in Melbourne many years ago who was known to spread good cheer and would always have a gift for everyone around this time of year. Congratulations to Con, who spreads good cheer all year round!
